
About the Race
The first of its kind, the Pro Armor
King of the Mountain Endurance Challenge is a race deserving of its
title. A custom built course on previously untracked terrain will push
you and your machine to the limit. With rocks, streams, trees, uphill
climbs, downhill descents, mud, and off-camber turns, this 4-hour endurance
challenge is the ultimate test of your will to win. If you think
you’ve got what it takes to conquer the mountain, sign up give it
a shot! The racer with the most laps at the end of the race goes home
with a $1,000.00 prize package and the crown.
Side X Side drivers and ATV riders
will battle in separate 4-hour long races on a technical course that
is sure to punish the weak and challenge the strong. The five-mile
course will be custom built for the King of the Mountain, and will only
be used once a year during this event. Consisting of trees, roots,
rocks and hills the course will reward only the competitors with the
preparation, stamina, and heart required to be the true King of the
Mountain!
The King of the Mountain is open to
anyone crazy and tough enough to enter. There are no size or skill
classifications in this test of rider and machine. All that is
needed to race is a machine that passes the safety requirements and
to be at leasy sixteen years old.
The King of the Mountain will be run
during the Side X Side Roundup presented by Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A.
running September 4-7, 2009. The Brimstone Recreation Area will
host the event and race with some of the best trails in the eastern
United States.
