Tracy, CA -.Teixeira Tech would like to thank the racers who ran their linkage and
a-arms across multiple ATV racing disciplines this season.2009 was a break out success for many
new Teixeira Tech racers with class championships as well as national top ten
finishes.
In GNCC racing,
Duane Johnson made his strong comeback finishing #8 for the year in PRO
class.Kevin Blundell raced in the
Junior B Class and racked up three 1st places, and finished 3rd for
year.Mike Husband raced in the
Vet A (30+) class and dominated with four 1st places and finished 1st
in class for the year.Brandon
Carter ran Vet A (30+) as well, and finished out the year with 4th
in class.These top performing
GNCC racers utilized the Teixeira Tech linkage for the TRX450R, which works
with the stock swingarm, uses a 17.5” shock, and industry leading great ground
clearance.Several of the racers,
including Johnson also ran Teixeira Tech +1 Maximum Ground Clearance A-Arms,
which held up to the abuse of cross country racing.
In GNC MX racing, a team of sisters carried the flag for Teixeira Tech.Kayle Dyer won the overall 1st
place for the women’s class with six 1st places, two 2nd
places and one 3rd place.Her sister, Kelsey Dyer, was able to edge out her sister at the last
round of the series with her first win of the season in the women’s class in
her 1st appearance, with Kayle finishing in second.
In a WORCS
season that saw record turnouts of over 600 participants at various rounds,
Justin Waters came out strong in his rookie season, running the competitive PRO
Class with a 10th place for the year.Tim Shelman raced in the PRO class as well, and ended up 13th
for year.Cole Fite raced Sport
15-29 B and ended up with four 1st places, and 2nd
overall for year.Cole also ran
Open B and compiled two 2nd places, two 1st places, two 3rd
places for 2nd overall for year.Cole races a 250 cc quad against 450 quads because he is
legally too young to run a 450, but still is still able to stay competitive and
take wins on a smaller machine.
In the Best in the Desert (BITD) series, Doug Bergstrom not only took 2nd overall
for the year, but also took his Honda TRX450R, decked out with Teixeira Tech
products to a Vegas to Reno win in the Expert class.This is a rugged series that test both man and machine, and
Teixeira Tech parts passed with high marks for durability and performance.
In other regional races, Duane Johnson teamed up with
fellow Teixeira Team member, Michael Burrows to win the PRO class at the
Heartland Challenge 10 Hour Race.Josh Eaton won the AA and overall title in the Iowa state cross -
country Series (IATVHSS) with 4 overall wins on the year.In the new Missouri state cross -
country series, OXC Racing, Michael Burrows took three overall wins, and missed
the title by one point.Carson
Coffman took one win, and ended up with 3rd place for the year in
PRO.
