2011 CAN-AM OUTLANDER MAX 500/400 ($8649/$7649) Can-Am’s smaller Outlanders are also available in the Max configuration for two-up riding. Both the 500 and 400 are based on the single-cylinder Rotax motor—about 8 horsepower separates the two sizes. Both use the MacPherson strut chassis, which is smaller than the double-A-arm chassis used on the 800 and 550. The XT configuration gives you power steering, a winch and more goodies for an additional $1500.
