IVY BRANCH TRAIL SYSTEM OPENS AT HMT

Ivy Branch Trail Opened Saturday, July 13, 2013!  


The Ivy Branch Trail System located near the Little Coal River Trail System and the towns of Danville and Madison, WV consists of approximately 55 total miles of trail. The Ivy Branch Trail has one trailhead with a two-acre parking area and will soon have a visitor check-in and restroom office scheduled to be completed in August, 2013. This trail system is unique to the Hatfield-McCoy Trail project because it is the only trail to be open to 4x4 ORV's as well as ATV's, UTV's, and dirtbikes.  The breakdown in trail mileage and percentages for this trail system are as follows: 12 miles or 21% are green trails (easiest), 20 miles or 36% blue trails (more difficult), 16.5 miles or 30% black trails (difficult), 7 miles or 13% red/black (most difficult), and has 0 miles of orange trails (single track only).
