Seven All-New machines including Special Edition Models; Powered-Up Wildcat Sport Models; Plus a Full Line of SPEED High-Performance Accessories

Plymouth, Minn. (Aug. 23 2015) – Arctic Cat continues its foot-on-the-gas approach to new product development in its first wave of 2016 ROV and ATV models, with seven all-new machines as well as a power-up for its popular Wildcat Sport models. This first wave of 2016 model Arctic Cats will be available at dealerships beginning in September, along with an all-new full line of SPEED High Performance Accessories for Arctic Cat co-developed by Robby Gordon.

These are the highlights of the first-wave of 2016 Arctic Cat new model and technical innovations:

* Four Special Edition models built in Limited Quantities, each featuring a dash-mounted, numbered plaque. Those models are highlighted below:

* HDX 700 SE Hunter Special Edition featuring an electric bed lift; painted aluminum wheels; a 5,000-lb. winch; gun scabbard; and True Timber Camo livery

* Wildcat X Special Edition featuring aluminum bumpers; color-matched beadlock wheels; roof; and Desert Tan painted bodywork

* Wildcat Trail Special Edition featuring full doors; color-matched aluminum wheels; and an industry first color combo of True Timber Camo /Orange Metallic

* TRV 700 Special Edition featuring a 3,000-lb. winch; color-matched aluminum wheels; and the choice of True Timber Camo/Orange Metallic or Black Metallic

* Arctic Cat debuts the new Alterra name on its ATV models (formerly called XR), signifying that All-terrain vehicles should be built for All-terrains

* The HDX XT is the ultimate working machine. To complement the 2016 HDX 700 XT an all-new 500 is ready to take on the tougher tasks with the bring-it-on body style and automotive-style hood. The payload is the payoff, with an industry-leading, tilting 2-in-1 cargo box converting to a flatbed for 1,000lbs of carrying capacity, on top of rugged FOX FLOAT coil-over adjustable shocks (700 only). Side and underhood compartments store your work essentials, while tilt steering and the three-person bench seat are perfect for when your cargo includes a couple extra helping hands.

* Pound for pound, performance is what makes the Wildcat Sport models Purr in popularity. A 5% increase in engine power derives from an all-new free-flowing exhaust system. All Sport models feature a low center of gravity and high power-to-weight ratio, giving you better acceleration, climbing ability and top-end speed so you can ride in confidence.

* Alterra 400 and 450 models – Arctic Cat took the brand-new body style and endless capabilities of the full- sized Alterra, and adapted them for the more compact 400 and 450 mid-sized models. Featuring new bodywork, racks and headlights these Alterra models are part workhorse, part warrior and are more nimble, lightweight and versatile than the competition.

The result is light steering input effort, especially when in 4WD with a locked differential, but with enough feedback that the rider senses the tire contact with the terrain. The XT package also includes cast aluminum wheels, a halogen/LED headlight system, and painted White Metallic or molded-in color True Timber Camo bodywork.

As the new name implies, the pair
of new 2016 Arctic Cat Alterra 700s are high-performance ATVs loaded with
key features that expand the comfort, handling and go-anywhere prowess that riders expect from 700-class performance leader.

Arctic Cat answered customers’ request for maximum performance, com- fort and versatility with a highly refined chassis and bodywork. With a 52-in. wheelbase and swaybar-equipped rear suspension geometry, the Alterra 700 and Alterra 700 XT EPS deliver an improved ride quality via 10 inches of front/rear travel and 11 inches of ground clearance.

Class-leading comfort and rider er- gonomics come courtesy of the Alterra’s optimal rider postion, spacious foot room, reduced-effort steering geometry, narrow bodywork and low ride height.

To simplify hauling key gear and accessories, The Alterra ATVs feature steel-reinforced composite SpeedRack
II front and rear racks with the Speed- Lock II integrated accessory attachment system. With 100/200-lb. capacities and secure, rubber-coated surfaces, this rack system enables quick attachment or removal of a wide array of useful acces- sories. Hauling all your favorite gear has never been so easy or secure.

Both models are powered by the de- pendable, liquid-cooled 695cc Arctic Cat H1 engine and its Duramatic Automatic.

With an award-winning design and premium specifications, the 50-inch wide Wildcat Trail family continues to set the industry standard in handling, power to weight, suspension travel and pricing. For 2016 the Wildcat Trail and Wildcat Trail XT EPS are joined by the all-new Wildcat Trail Special Edition EPS for a triple-play in the popular category.

Modern technology brings you more horsepower, less weight, improved ef- ficiency and long-lasting durability. The Arctic Cat designed 700 parallel-twin fea- tures EFI, 4-valves per cylinder and liquid cooling. This 60-plus horsepower engine was designed specifically for the Wildcat Trail chassis and the engine feeds into the TEAM Rapid Response clutches

and electronic selectable 2WD/4WD with front differential lock. With 60-plus hp, the Wildcat Trail takes a backseat to nobody.

The Wildcat Trail chassis features a 40/60-percent front/rear weight distribu- tion for optimal handling at high speed. The driver and passenger are located
3 inches lower than the competition so you are seated near the low center of gravity, leaving occupants less affected by the movements of the vehicle inspiring greater confidence and control.

With industry-leading 10/10.5 inches of front/rear suspension travel and 10 inches of ground clearance, all Wildcat Trail models are built to deftly navigate trail obstacles. The front and rear double

A-arm suspensions have a swaybar that keeps the tires planted while the suspen- sion moves through its travel for unmatched traction and control. Premium FOX nitrogen gas-charged shocks smooth the ride.

Other comfort-and-control features include high back bucket seats with upper body supports, tilt steering, center console sport shifter, digital gauge, rear LED taillights, pas- senger handhold and 3-point seat belts; plus easy-access hinged doors with industry- leading automotive style handles/latches to compliment the exterior lines.

A 300-lb. payload in
the rear cargo bed is large enough to carry a cooler and a Gerry can of gas, while the rear 2-inch receiver and 4-ply Carlisle Trail Pro tires were designed exclusively for the Wildcat Trail.

The base-level Wildcat
Trail comes with 12-in. steel wheels and half doors, and is available in Lime Green or Classic Red.

The Wildcat Trail XT EPS adds the steering ease of electronic power steer- ing (EPS); machined cast-aluminum 12- inch wheels; color-matched suspension

arms; and automotive-style paint in Team Arctic Green or Vibrant Red to complete the package.

The new-for-2016 Wildcat Trail Spe- cial Edition EPS includes the upgraded features found on XT EPS, plus comes with full doors; color-matched aluminum wheels; and a dash-mounted numbered

plaque that highlights its limited availabil- ity. It’s available in True Timber Camo or Orange Metallic.

* Wildcat X and 4X models stay true to their rugged roots delivering professional performance, but receive all- new Duro PowerGrip tires and an attractive, aggressive price point compared to the competition

NEW FOR 2016

• New 27-in. Duro PowerGrip tires deliver outstanding traction and durability in a variety of terrain conditions.

“X” — It’s the badge of ultimate off-road performance. It distinguish- es the trio of 2016 Arctic Cat Wildat EPS models as occupying the top of the ROV food chain. The Wildcat
X EPS, Wildcat X Limited EPS and Wildcat X Special Edition EPS offer a full range of component selection and color choices.

From the beginning, the Arctic Cat Wildcat set a new standard in pure-sport ROV performance thanks to a chassis and suspension combo that was purpose-built to conquer all types of gnarly terrain.

Inspired by desert race vehicles, the Wildcats’ exoskeleton chassis features a 40-/60-percent front/ rear weight distribution for optimal handling at high speed. The driver and passenger are located near the low center of gravity, leaving them less affected by the movements of the vehicle, enhancing confidence and control.

With an industry-leading 17/18 inches of front/ rear suspension

travel and 13 inches of ground clearance, both Wildcats deliver comfort and control in nearly every condition.

The 5-link trailing arm rear sus- pension design keeps the rear tires planted while the suspension moves through its travel for unmatched traction and control. The Wildcat
X gets JRi ECX-1 shocks featuring 70-position compression adjust- ments, spring preload adjustment and 2.5-in. piggyback reservoirs.

The race-ready X Limited sports Elka Stage 5 shocks with high and low speed compression dampen- ing as well as rebound adjustment. Precise tuning makes these shocks smoother and more responsive, and are tough, rugged and ready for anything.

Powering the 90-plus horsepower X models is a liquid-cooled 951cc Arctic Cat H2 V-Twin 4-stroke with Electronic Fuel Injection, a 2-into-1 ceramic-coated exhaust and single 50mm throttle body. Feeding that power and torque to the ground are the TEAM Rapid Response clutches and electronic selectable 2WD/4WD and front differential lock.

Variable Assist Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system keeps the steering both light and precise. The EPS initiates at engine idle for re- duced steering effort when in 4WD,

especially when the differential
lock is engaged. The result is a light steering input effort when negotiat- ing tough obstacles like washouts, rocks and mud, but with enough feedback so the driver senses the tire contact patch in relation to
the terrain.

Additional comfort-and-control features include high back bucket seats with upper body supports
and 3-point seat belts; plus tube- frame doors with integrated nets
to compliment the exterior lines. Class-leading LED headlights and taillights shine extra-bright, while a 300-lb. payload rear compartment is large enough to carry a cooler and a Gerry can of gas. Machined, cast- aluminum wheels; automotive-style paint; underseat storage; glove box, bed-mounted tie-down hooks; and

tilt steering complete the package. For 2016 the Wildcat X comes with JRi ECX-1 compression-adjust-

able shocks, new Duro PowerGrip tires; half doors; and three unique color combinations.

The upscale Wildcat X Limited adds full aluminum doors; a sleek molded roof; premium Elka Stage
5 shocks; color-matched aluminum beadlock wheels; aluminum front and rear bumpers; and 27-in. ITP Blackwater Evolution Tires. It comes in Matte Black paint.

The Wildcat X Special Edition gets the same features as the Limited, plus it features a special dash- mounted numbered plaque and is colored in military-like Desert Tan. It’s a truly limited-edition vehicle.

HDX 500 XT

With all-new bodywork, improved seating comfort and truck-inspired tech- nology, the new 2016 Arctic Cat HDX 500 marks a bold new direction in 3-person utility versatility while reaffirming its place as class and value-leader.

The 40/20/40 “bench-style” 3-person seat and versatile rear cargo box are the signature features of the HDX 500 XT. Large enough to hold items as large as
a pallet, the transformable 2-in-1 tilting composite cargo box can haul 600 lbs. payload, plus it can convert into a flatbed in just minutes to add even greater ver- satility. Multiple tie-down options ease securing loads, while built-in 18-gal-
lon side storage compartments provide convenience when adding extra payload. A 2-in. rear receiver hitch is backed by a 1,500-lb. towing capacity.

The premium quality Surlyn body- work features an automotive style hood with a 22-gallon-sized box offering 25 lbs. of payload that’s water-resistant and easily accessible. It’s complemented by a smart dash and console layout featur- ing a 1.9-gallon glovebox, center cubby and dash-mounted shift lever. And it’s topped with an ultra-bright LED/halogen headlight system that provides improved lighting options.Engine_WildcatTrail_Clutch_3-4_2016
