North America has always been the world’s biggest hotbed of ATV activity. Australia has also been a place where quads are rather numerous. Argentina is now another “A” country we can add to the list where the popularity of ATVs is booming. This was most evident by the number of quads that showed up recently at Argentina’s biggest ATV event.
The Enduro del Verano is an annual race that has been growing in size and fame over the years. It occurs along the beach of the Atlantic Ocean in the resort town of Villa Gesell, around 200 miles southeast of Buenos Aires. For the 2015 event, there were over 500 quad riders roosting around and having fun in front of 185,000 cheering spectators. The course starts off in an arena with grandstands, Supercross-style jumps and big berms. It then wanders for six miles across the sand hills, to the ocean and back to the Supercross arena where the riders continue on for more laps.
The level of riding and competition has become very fierce among Argentina’s quad riders, and the same can be said for the many dirt bike riders who have their own class at the beach race too. We were intrigued by this collection of photos from the Enduro del Verano, and we thought you’d enjoy seeing them too.
