This Sportsman is the ultimate “in-between” machine. It has all the capability and performance of the XP 1000 at a little bit lower price point and with a little less aggressive power. So, if you’re headed out on the trails to do a long ride, but you aren’t planning on crawling mount Everest at top speed, then the 850 Ultimate trail is ideal. The 4-stroke twin-cylinder engine is fuel injected and liquid-cooled. The automatic trans is equipped with on-demand true AWD/2WD and standard engine braking, but surprisingly it does not come with active descent control. The new cut and sewn seat paired with sealed high clearance arched dual A-arms, independent rear suspension, and 12” of ground clearance on 27” tires make for a super comfortable ride.

Practicality is key along the trail, so this ATV is fitted with a Polaris Pro HD 3500lb winch, super-bright lights, and plenty of storage. With 4 gallons dry storage up front and 2 gallons in the rear, lock & ride capability, six removable tie-down points, and 575lbs of payload capacity there is ample accommodation for all your stuff.
