What began as a championship-winning motocross motorcycle in the early 1970s, dominating motocross and endurance racing, has evolved over five decades into Can-Am becoming a global leader in powersports, offering a diverse range of products. With a presence in over 80 countries, Can-Am continues to captivate millions of riders with its on and off-road prowess. As it reaches this significant milestone, the brand not only celebrates its heritage and passion for the ride but also strives to build upon its momentum by delivering unforgettable experiences and innovative products.

Since its inception in 1973, Can-Am has challenged conventions, redefined standards, and transformed the industry. Today, with its groundbreaking lineup of products designed to cater to diverse riders, Can-Am has established itself as a formidable brand. Its all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and side-by-side vehicles (SSVs) have consistently gained market share, making Can-Am the fastest-growing brand in North America since 2015. Earlier this year, Can-Am made history by clinching its sixth consecutive victory at the Dakar Rally. In the three-wheel segment, Can-Am has emerged as a major player, witnessing a remarkable 20pp market share growth in recent years in North America, while retail sales have more than doubled in the last four years. Building upon its rich motorcycle heritage, Can-Am is also poised to revolutionize the power dynamics with the introduction of two new electric motorcycles, set to provide an exhilarating riding experience to a new generation of enthusiasts by 2024.

To mark the 50-year milestone, Can-Am initiates a series of celebrations. First, in collaboration with The Shoe Surgeon, Can-Am pushes the boundaries once again to celebrate inclusivity, heritage, and the thrill of the ride. Together, both brands have crafted three custom Can-Am Ryker 3-wheel vehicles along with three styles of riding shoes inspired by Can-Am. Additionally, the upcoming BRP Club event in August promises to be a momentous occasion where BRP will unveil groundbreaking updates and models for Can-Am, staying true to its pioneering nature. Furthermore, Can-Am enthusiasts, owners, and championship riders from the early days of the brand, alongside current riders and owners, can partake in various social media and in-person activities and celebrations. Throughout the summer, BRP’s employees will also enjoy festivities, culminating in a grand celebration with the global dealer network.
