COOL OR COLD GENERAL?
ALTERNATIVE UTV CABIN COOLING
A DIRT WHEELS FAN WRITES: I have a 2020 Polaris General 4. I do a lot of slow-speed field mowing, and the summers here get quite hot. I saw a Youtube video about the installation of an Icybreeze cooler in a 2-seat General. Do you think it could cool down a 4-seat General while I am mowing?

OUR PRO ANSWER: I watched the video you referenced (it would have been nicer if you had provided Boss with a direct link). 69° air is better than nothing! However, his conversion didn’t address the problem of cab humidity. There should have been an in-cab air intake. This would not be a problem with your 4-seat Zooter because you would place the Icybreeze cooler in the rear seat. So, will the Icybreeze cooler cool down the cab interior of a 4-seat Zooter? I don’t think it has the capacity to make the interior cold. Mildly cooler, yes. Especially if you point the cool air hose at you. It will make it more bearable while you are working than if you were in an open air Zooter. And that may be all you are looking for. Just remember you will be having to source blocks of ice because bag ice is not nearly as effective in those coolers as block ice. The other, and way more expensive alternative, Son, is a Northstar model.
