We have used G-Force’s full-face auto racing helmets for years, so when we heard they released a dirt MX-style helmet, we couldn’t wait to see if it was as good as the rest of the G-Force line. At $169, the V9 Moto helmet is priced lower than most of its competitors. It’s thermoplastic poly alloy shell is Snell and DOT approved, so you know it provides great protection in case of a crash.
Our red sample has an adjustable visor, a removable, washable liner and nine airflow vents throughout the shell. Other available colors include silver, blue, green, orange, yellow and pink. Sizes range from XS all the way up to 2XL.
We have been using the G-Force Moto 9 helmet during a few tests for a couple of weeks now. The helmet fits comfortably and was sized correctly compared to other brand helmets we have been using these days. The large goggle port allowed them to fit flush to our riders’ faces. Furthermore, a goggle guide keeps the goggle strap in the right position, in the center of the helmet, during a ride.
Although we didn’t take any hard crashes wearing the G-Force product, our riders ran into plenty of tree branches, knocked into plenty of UTV roll cages and were very happy with the provided protection.
For the price, the G-Force Moto 9 is one of the best looking and comfortable helmets we have tested. Through two washings, the liner is holding up well, as are the graphics after days of sun exposure. To view the complete line of powersports helmets from G-Force, log on to www.gforce.com.
