Big things to come

In the beginning months of 2021 and late last year, Hisun has hired on key industry management executives, giving us reason to believe big things are coming from the brand. The new players at the brand have tons of experience in their respective fields so it’s no doubt they will make a big impact in the industry in the near future. Below are the bio’s of this new brass.

 

Jamie Cheek-Vice President of Operations at Hisun

Cheek comes to HISUN from Cardo Systems, Inc., where, as the VP of Sales and Marketing, he led the business from infancy, to becoming a global leader in its category. Preceding his 13-year tenure at Cardo, Cheek helped direct the production staff for American Ironhorse Motorcycles, with a team responsible for creating and maintaining a robust distribution pipeline. Jamie’s professional career path descends from many years as an avid motocross racer and powersports enthusiast.

As Vice President of Operations for HISUN Motors Corp., USA, Cheek’s objective is to enrich HISUN’s business practices by providing optimum service and forging healthy, consistent relationships with each of the company’s valuable business partners. He will also be responsible for developing and managing the most responsive team of customer service and tech support personnel that the organization has ever seen. Additionally, he will be working closely with each of the department heads to establish unity among the group. 

It is a great time to join HISUN! With multiple new initiatives and a product roadmap that aligns with the evolving landscape of the Powersports Industry, HISUN continues to grow, improve, and better serve their customers. HISUN is excited to welcome Jamie Cheek as the newest executive member to their strategic growth plans.

Greg Blackwell-Dealer Development at Hisun

Blackwell brings over 30 years of sales and sales management experience, having led executive roles at Metzeler/Pirelli, LeMans Corporation, KTM North America, MTA and Tucker Powersports. “I’ve had the opportunity to work with Jason Walling, JJ Pecsok and Jamie Cheek in the past and I’m very impressed with what they are accomplishing together with the HISUN team. HISUN is definitely on the move and I want to work with the team to develop and grow the Southwest market” says Blackwell.

In his role, Blackwell will work closely with Business Development Manager, Tyler Houghton. Together, they will work to elevate the service and support of the current dealer base in the region, while cultivating new relationships and expanding the dealer footprint throughout the territory for HISUN.

Jason “JD” Walter-North West District Sales Manager at Hisun

Walter comes to HISUN with over 27-years of industry experience, ranging from OEM Sales Management, Dealership Management and After Market Product Distribution. Preceding his tenure at Parts Unlimited, Walter managed regional sales at Bombardier Recreational Products where he was instrumental in developing and maintaining strategic dealership growth all while establishing and building long term relationships across the Powersports Industry. 

In his role as, North West District Sales Manager for HISUN Motors Corp., USA, Walter will be tasked with developing and overseeing dealer operations in the North Western Region of the United States. His key focus will be to enrich the dealership experience by applying his intellect obtained while working in the Powersports industry to forge healthy relationships with valuable dealer partners. 

JJ Pecsok, Western Regional Sales Manager of HISUN Motors Corp., USA stated, “When we first spoke with JD, Jason Walling (NSM) and I quickly realized JD encompassed all the qualities we were looking for in a DSM.  JD’s industry knowledge and experience, optimistic attitude, hard work, and his dedication to provide exceptional customer service is further going to elevate our dealer network and relationships within the North West territory.  I am very excited to have JD join the team and I look forward to the positive impact he will provide to our dealers and the rest of our team for many years to come.”

Tim Calhoun-Director of Parts and Accessories at Hisun

Calhoun comes to HISUN with over 35 years of industry experience and former executive roles at Indian Motorcycle, WPS, LeoVince USA, SpeedMob Inc. and Helmet House. With his most recent tenure at Quin Design Helmets, Inc., as the VP of Sales, Tim led the start-up to establish a national sales team, and was instrumental in defining brand strategies as well as policies and procedures. He is a peer elected board member on the Motorcycle Industry Council, and current Chairman of the Aftermarket Committee. Calhoun is a lifelong rider with over 50 years in the saddle and has been an avid sponsor and supporter of American and International racing throughout his career.

As Director of Parts and Accessories for HISUN Motors Corp., Calhoun’s goals include improving dealer accessibility to parts and accessories, simplifying ordering and delivery operations, and creating an extensive catalog of parts and accessories, both performance and utility, for the HISUN family of vehicles. Creating this role is just one more step on the HISUN roadmap to improve the end users experience and allow customers to expand the various uses of HISUN products.
