HONDA TRX200X PART NUMBERS

A DIRT WHEELS FAN WRITES: “I have one of the rarest Honda 4-wheelers ever made, the 1993 HONDA TRX200X! They were produced in Mexico, and I imported mine from Argentina. Problem is, I need parts and any American Honda dealer can’t seem to help me if they don’t have part numbers! Any ideas on where to acquire parts or part numbers?” – Sam Whitehall, Beeville, TX

OUR PRO ANSWER: Not rare, Son! Just not available in the US. Officially called the TRX 200XN Fourtrax, it was sold between 1992 and 1998 most everywhere in the world except the US. It was a true mongrel, a parts-is-parts machine like the vintage Hodaka motorcycles from PABATCO in Athena, Oregon. The brakes are from the TRX300EX as well as the front suspension, and the A arms are TRX 250R. The bearing carrier, swing arm, axle, foot pegs, are from the 1986 – 1987 ATC 200X. While the headlight is off of a 1985-1987 TRX200SX. I did find a website that has exploded parts diagrams. See here: https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-trx200x-fourtrax-1992-n_model50104/partslist/. Put a dash (-) after the first 5 numbers and again after the next 3 numbers and you have a correct Honda part number. Ya, it’s in Holland. Best I could do, Son!
