Before Wayne Matlock’s Baja team left for the SCORE Baja 500, we hijacked their Honda 700 for an afternoon tech inspection at the Dirt Wheels lab. The 1A quad was meticulously prepared and looked quite capable of defending the title. The motor was built by Rich Morel. Roll parts, an IMS tank, Elka suspension and a Precision damper were all in place as well as a BG Evo exhaust. The team uses its own bar mounted GPS system, too. Some items are surprisingly stock, like the airbox. We plan on riding the Honda right after Wayne, Harold and Wes are through with it in the 500. Stay tuned to Dirt Wheels.
As you might expect, the underside of the TRX700 is built for battle.
Everything about the Honda was perfectly prepared. It was across the border within hours of our photoshoot.
 Houser A-arms were used.
Maxxis Razr tires are used all the way around, along with Douglas wheels.
