INSIDE THE NEW ACE 150
— Could this be the best little UTV for young off-roaders? First of all, it’s a single-seater, which means Junior will be able to focus on driving and not distracted by a passenger. Also, it costs $1000 less than the two-seater RZR 170.
The Ace 150 has a fuel-injected, 149cc, air-cooled, four-stroke motor. It is rear-drive only from an automatic CVT. There are disc brakes front and rear, with 5 inches of suspension travel at both ends. It comes with 4 speed limit settings, at 10, 15, 22 and 29 mph. This allows Junior to safely develop his driving skills a little at a time.
The length, width and height is 85″/48″/58″ with a 579 pound weight, which means it can easily fit in the back of a pickup truck. It costs $3799 and includes a helmet and other safety features.
The Dirt Wheels crew, including the kids, has just begun evaluating our Ace 150 test unit. So far we’re impressed with it. We’ll have the full report ready for you to read about in the July 2017 issue of Dirt Wheels. Don’t miss it.
