MAY 10–TEAM HONDA’S TIM FARR LEADS THE MOTOCROSS SERIES HEADED INTO MICHIGAN
(ATVA online Press Release)
Team Suzuki/Yoshimura riders Doug Gust (#55) and Jeremiah Jones (#2) are hot on their trail in third and fourth place. Will the lead change again at the next round at the Red Bud Competition Park in Buchanan, Michigan, May 14-15? Can Farr repeat? As the weather heats up so does the racing action!
Red Bud promoter and track builder Tim Richie is constantly looking for ways to give all riders the best track possible. The tabletops and sand whoop section, new last year, has defiantly made the track more technical for the Pro, amateur and youth riders alike.
Richie has added more to the new 50cc youth track. A whoop section has just been added for the ATVA Nationals, which should challenge and excite these young riders.
Jay Garside, president of Outerwears, wants to invite everyone to attend all the fun activities the company has planned for Saturday night. Outerwears is sponsoring a dinner and two live bands.
Gates open at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 12. Practice is set for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 13. On Saturday, May 14, practice begins at 8 a.m., with racing starting as soon as practice is over. All classes, except the Pros, will race their first or qualifying motos and last chance qualifiers on Saturday.
Practice begins at 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 15, followed by final motos in all classes. Pro riders will race their first moto at noon, and the Pro final will be held at 3 p.m.
