We don’t have the resources to build a new trail system.

How often have you or your organization heard that a lack of funding or time has kept a trail from being created, kept a bad trail from being fixed, or caused portions of routes that were never designed to be trails to be included into a trail system? As the agencies continue to have constraints regarding funding and time, volunteers have been stepping up to help try to fill in the gaps. However, volunteerism is also suffering. There are too many projects that need work, work can be hard, and not enough people to continue to take up the ever-increasing gaps in OHV trail systems.
