Tons of toys at the 2016 Sand Sports Super Show!

The air was buzzing with enthusiasts and parts vendors at the 2016 Sand Sports Super Show this past weekend in Costa Mesa, California. Everywhere you look, there were hopped up machines of all types that were impressive to say the least. That isn’t even half of the excitement at the SSSS.

High action truck and UTV racing occurred throughout the whole event with racing stars like Robby Gordon, Sheldon Creed, Sara Price and many more competing in their Stadium Super Trucks and Arctic Cat Wildcat UTVs.

Companies like Traxxis had demos of their products and more than enough quality UTV equipment was available to purchase for amazingly low prices. The new Can-Am Maverick X3 could be found all over the show along with machines from Polaris, Yamaha, Can-Am and more. The new Nikola fully electric UTV was released to the public at the show. The machine can pump out over 500 horsepower and almost match that in torque ratings. Production on the UTV starts in December.

Arctic Cat released their new Wildcat X Limited with RG PRO suspension that was designed with professional racer Robby Gordon. King shocks, stronger components and better suspension geometry was integrated onto the machine along with a stronger roll cage.

It is basically breathtaking to see how far the UTV industry has come and it is not something that will even come close to dwindling! While the Sand Sports Super Show is meant for all kinds of Sand Dune toys, UTVs out number every other machine and the insane modifications made to them are exciting to see. We are excited to see what manufacturers come up with next year for the 2017 Sand Sports Super Show!

You can still find some awesome sand quads lurking around the show that deserve attention.
