WORCS #7: POLARIS & HONDA ON TOP

Settled in sunny Southern California is Glen Helen Raceway. This famous track holds racing of all types, including the World Off Road Championship Series. Round 7 for 2018 was held over Sept. 14-16 in the, hopefully dwindling, heat. Quads, UTVs and Dirt Bikes fill the starting lines on Saturday and Sunday for a weekend of racing fun.

Racers of all types and sizes fired up their engines in preparation to hit the technical and rather rough course. Once the green flag dropped, the first turn is a NASCAR style banking that you reach at the high speeds the final gear of your transmission will take you to. After that the course sends you up over steep hill climbs, small and large jumps alike, high speed straights and whooped out corners that are filled with deep ruts and rocks. Each lap ranges an average of 9-12 minutes, depending on your skill level. The Pro’s made things look real easy!

PRO & PRO-AM ATV

The Pro and Pro Amateur classes held some heated battles. In the Pro class, last years Champion #1 Beau Baron took the win this round.

Impressively, Yamaha rider #3 Mike Sloan fought hard for secondly place and finished 18 seconds behind Baron.
