CASEY FOLKS VEGAS TO RENO AUGUST 16TH-19TH 2023
WHERE TO RIDE: BEST IN THE DESERT 28TH V2R
Best in the Desert’s Casey Folks’ Vegas to Reno is the place to be next week; V2R started as a dirt bike race 28 years ago, and Casey Folks later added truck, cars, ATVs and UTVs to America’s longest one-day off-road race. The V2R course will be 521 miles this year starting in Armagossa Valley near Las Vegas and heading northwest by Tonopah to the finish in Dayton. The Event Expo and Tech/Contingency will be at Aliante Casino and Hotel in North Las Vegas, and Time Trials will be held Wednesday on a 9.75-mile desert course. Motorcycles and ATVs will start at 5:45AM Friday, cars/trucks will start at 10:00AM, and UTVs and remaining car/truck classes will start at Noon. The course closes at 8:30AM on Saturday, and the finish line will be at the Dayton Rodeo Events Center.
There are 234 total entries as of August 9th with six ATC Expert teams, three Quad Pros, five UTV N/A Pros including Zach Sizelove and Joe Bolton, four UTV Sportsman, four UTV Super Stock Turbos, 26 UTV Trophy Unlimiteds, and 24 UTV Turbo Pros including Bruce Binnquist, AJ Jones, Joe Terrana, Seth Quintero, Marc Burnett, Phil Blurton, Matt Burroughs, Vito Ranuio, and Dustin Jones. That’s a total of 64 UTV teams, finishers will get their rewards in Sparks, Nevada.
