CHRISTINI TO LAUNCH FIRST EVER HYBRID E-ATV
Near Silent Operation, Onboard 5,000W Generator, 200-Mile Range
Christini, which made a name for itself creating 2WD off-road motorcycles, is preparing to launch the first hybrid ATV later this year. This ATV uses four independent 20-horse hub motors that Christini claims make a combined 80-horsepower directly to all four wheels. The ATV comes with an automotive range extender, a.k.a. gas generator, that extends the range of the ATV to 200 miles. The 5000W generator can also be used to power your campsite and recharge phones and accessories.
This hybrid ATV includes three drive modes – Eco, Standard and Sport – which can be used in either 2WD or 4WD. There are no moving parts in the electric drive motors for even quieter operation, perfect for hunting. A standard 120-volt outlet is all that’s needed to fully charge the batteries overnight, or about six hours. The 150cc onboard generator with electric/auto start carries enough fuel to recharge the batteries up to four times while out in the wilderness.
But one feature that really wowed us is the E-ATV’s zero-turn function, giving it the ability to reverse direction without actually backing up. The four independent hub motors will spin the ATV 180 degrees in place. Check out the video below for a demonstration.
The $24,000 price tag makes this the most expensive ATV ever created for the masses. We look forward to trying one out soon!
