POLARIS WILL STOP SELLING ATV’S IN AUSTRALIA
IS HONDA & YAMAHA NEXT?
According to www.farmmachinerysales.com.au, Polaris will stop selling ATV’s in Australia this year. Polaris, the largest seller of off-road vehicles in the country has stopping bring any new ATV’s down under and will be sold out by the October deadline.
The article states the countries farmers are trending toward SXS purchases and ATV sales had been dropping for years anyway. The report also points to Australias strict safety measures that Polaris and other manufacturers are unwilling to follow. Basically, their safety police wants roll bars (Occupant Protection Devices) on ATV’s which in our opinion are not safer. What is safer, is proper training on how to ride an ATV which the United States does a great job through the ATV Safety Institute. Going forward, Polaris will continue to sell SXS’s in the country and you can see the complete line up HERE. The Farm Machinery Sales article can be digested HERE.
