THE 1987 KAWASAKI KXT250 TECATE THAT NEVER LEFT KAWASAKI HQ
1987 KAWASAKI KXT250 TECATE

If you’ve ever had the opportunity to visit Kawasaki’s USA headquarters in Foothill Ranch, California (near Irvine), then you’re familiar with the trip through Team Green’s history displayed in the building’s main lobby. Included is this 1987 Kawasaki KXT250 Tecate that never made its way to a dealership and has never seen dirt. It’s all original and as mint as mint gets. Word has it that factory Kawasaki racer Jimmy White has dibs if Kawasaki ever decides to sell it, but that will likely never happen.
Dirt Wheels Editor Jeff Henson drools over the Lime Green 3-wheeler every time he visits Kawasaki and snapped these photos of it a few years ago. Without a doubt, this is the cleanest 1987 Tecate 3 in existence. There’s no telling how high the bid would go if it were to go to auction.
