This issue is all about travel and finding new places to ride and camp. We asked you, our readers, which RV destinations you have visited that also have access to great trails. The response was overwhelming. So, if you have an OHV, an RV and time on your hands, set off this summer, and check these places out. We have been to a few ourselves and plan on visiting more this summer. Hope to see you there.

Alabama

 

Boggs And Boulders 

Address: 20133 Brooklyn Rd, Andalusia, AL 36421

Trail system: At the Boggs & Boulders OHV Park with 250 miles of trails throughout 2000 acres of wooded and rocky terrain. Big and small mud pits, rock crawling, and most trails are one-way for an added thrill with safety in mind. After you are done riding, you can relax in the natural “cool pool.”

Amenities: Thirty- and 50-amp full-hookup RV sites or cabins can be rented if needed. The Mud Pie Cafe on-site is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Gas is available, as well as a fully stocked parts and accessory store.

Grand River Motorsports Park

Address: 25859 Motorsports Parkway Robertsdale, AL 36567

Trail system: Home to a stop of the Southern Bounty Series, so you know the ground is rough, muddy and full of fun. In fact, they are adding a lazy river that will span one edge of the 2000-acre park very soon. Separate dirt bike and ATV/UTV trails, along with mud pits, drags and an obstacle course will keep you entertained.

Amenities: Right now, there are only 12 full hookup RV spots, but there is plenty of dry camping and three separate dump stations to take care of your business at. More RV sites are in the planning stages, as are cabins, rentals, etc.

Minooka Park 

Address: 1922 County Road 146, Jamison, AL 35085

Trail system: Smack in the middle of Alabama, the park has wooded trails winding through 420 acres. The area is hilly, so it’s not very muddy. There are separate trails for dirt bikes and ATV/UTVs, and all of them are directional. Three-wheelers are not allowed. The lake has over one mile of shoreline that can be enjoyed via a walking path and can be fished.

Amenities: The RV campground has 37 full hookup sites with water, power (30 and 50 amps) and sewage, along with five water- and power-only sites. A bathhouse and playground facilities are centrally located within the camp area.

Stoney Lonesome

Address: 10075 AL-69, Bremen, AL 35033

Trail system: Located in Cullman County Alabama, Stoney Lonesome has access to 1465 acres of OHV exploration. Riders off all skill levels have trails of various difficulties to explore the area as well, with the park’s map having a guide to each route.  

Amenities: Offers full hookup sites (30 and 50 amps), as well as stays up to 28 days long. Dry camping is also allowed, in addition to tent camping and rental cabin units. Pavilions are also available for rental with electricity available.

Top Trails OHV

Address: 1247 Horne Dr. Talladega, AL 35160

Trail system: Top Trails offers nearly 100 miles of trail and 2,800 acres to explore between Birmingham and Atlanta. Fifteen minutes off I-20, the park is host to a wide variety of events as well, all on trails ranging from beginner to advanced difficulty, including a technical 12-mile singletrack loop.

Amenities: Top Trails offers a full-service campground, with power hookups for 50 amps. A planned new campground will also offer access to two-bedroom cabins. Clean-off after a long, muddy day with a shower, or have even more fun at the archery range in camp.

Arizona

 

Desert Gold RV Resort

Address: 46628 E Hwy 60, Salome, AZ 85348

Trail system: Desert Gold RV Resort offers access to the Arizona Peace trail and McMullen Valley, in addition to being a short drive from trails in Parker and Lake Havasu. Plenty of open-desert terrain to explore right from the park with more nearby. 

Amenities: Offering both 30- and 50-amp service, as well as water and sewer hookups to complement the free Wi-Fi for daily and weekly guests. The park also has paved streets and TV available. With 549 full-service sites, 42 pull-throughs, and 378 back-ins, there’s plenty of room as well. A car wash and oil-changing station are also available for use alongside a pool and spa, billiards table, ping pong, darts and mini golf.

Salome KOA

Address: 64812 Harcuvar Drive, Salome, AZ

Trail system: Also in Salome, the Salome KOA offers access to the same system of trails as Desert Gold RV Resort directly from the park. With over 300 miles of trail to explore between Wickenburg and Quartzsite, even offering a chance to explore gold mines in the area.  

Amenities: Salome KOA offers a year-round pool and hot tub, as well as a game room with a pool. The clubhouse is also available for special events. A convenience store is within the park, and there’s a restaurant within walking distance. Campsites have a 90-foot maximum length and support up to 50 amps.

Wayside Oasis

Address: 73333 Wickenburg Rd, Salome, AZ

Trail system: Located near Alamo Lake, Wayside Oasis offers access to trails through both red canyons and more typical desert terrain. OHV use within Alamo Lake State Park is not allowed unless the vehicle is street-legal, but there are hundreds of miles of trails directly outside of the state park. 

Amenities: Wayside Oasis is a full-service bar and grill that offers up to 50-amp full hookup service, a store, propane, gas, and laundry facilities. The park also hosts monthly events, and is nearby Alamo Lake, which offers bass fishing either from the boat ramp or shore. New shower and laundry facilities were recently built, as well as a pool for relaxing cool-downs after long days in the desert sun.

Williams KOA

Address: 1000 Circle Pines Road, Williams, AZ 86046

Trail system: The Williams KOA has direct access to trails in the Kaibab National Forest, featuring a stretch of the great western trail. ATV rentals are also available for use in the area. 

Amenities: Williams KOA offers a year-round indoor pool, as well as a bike path, mini golf, the Bear Trax Café, and a weekly schedule of activities. The KOA even has a go-kart track on-site. An array of 30- and 50-amp full hook-up sites are offered, as well as tent and cabin sites. Glamping is also offered in covered wagons and tepees for those looking for a more unique stay at the Williams KOA.

Arkansas

 

BYRD’S Adventure Center

Address: 7037 Cass Oark Road, Ozark, AR 72949

Trail system: In the Ozarks, Byrd’s Adventure Center offers over 30 miles of private off-road park trails, as well as access to the Ozark National Forest. Trails feature scenic overlooks, jumps and plenty of obstacles to conquer. Hundreds of miles of trail are available in the Ozark National Forest as well. 

Amenities: Both 30- and 50-amp sites are available at Byrd’s, as well as a large pavilion with electrical and picnic tables. The camp also has heated restrooms and hot water showers, volleyball, and horseshoes. An on-site restaurant and convenience store are also available, supplying food, ice, and drinks.

Greasy Bend Off-Road Park

Address: 300 Meade Road, Batesville, AR

Trail system: Greasy Bend Off-Road Park offers a wide variety of trails with difficulties for riders of all skill levels. Running along the White River, this 1200-acre ATV and UTV playground is sure to provide some smiles. If testing your rock-crawling mettle is more your speed, Greasy Bend offers an obstacle track as well. With events such as Mud Jam and the Short Track series, there’s plenty of mud to go around and excitement to experience. 

Amenities: Greasy Bend offers both electric and water sites, as well as electric-only sites. Primitive camping is also available. Generators are allowed for use as well. There are plenty of areas to swim, as well as bagged ice and clean bathrooms available on-site.

Hanson’s Wolfpen Cabins & RV Park

Address: 752 Polk Rd. 57, Mena, AR 71953

Trail system: In Mena, Arkansas, Hanson’s Wolfpen has direct access to the Wolf Pen Gap trails, offering over 200 miles of trails open year round, with another 50 that close periodically in the winter.

Amenities: Hanson’s Wolfpen has 12 RV sites with electrical (30 and 50-amp) and water hookups on-site. In addition, Hanson’s offers private and climate-controlled bathrooms and showers for the camp. Tent camping is not allowed, making for a private, small experience in Mena.

Hot Springs Off-road Park

Address: 2100 Mill Creek Road, Hot Springs, AR 71901

Trail system: With 1,242 acres of off-road trails, Hot Springs Off-Road Park has plenty of trails to keep you occupied for your stay. With marked trails and difficulty ratings easily displayed both on your map and on markers, every rider can find their comfort zone and push it here. 

Amenities: Hot Springs Off-Road Park offers RV hookups from 30, 50 and 120 amps, as well as water, picnic tables, and fire pits. Other sites in the park offer dry RV spots without fire pits or tables.

Mack’s Pines 

Address: 22816 SR 7 North Dover, AR, 72837

Trail system: Also nestled in the Ozarks, Mack’s Pines offers access to gorgeous riding areas. With the Moccasin Gap Recreation Area being only 1.6 miles from the park and the “Illinois Bayou” being a similar distance, there are over 30 miles of marked trail to explore in each area. In addition, there are hundreds more miles of unmarked trail for those looking for even more adventure. Trail riding does require a Forest Service permit in the Moccasin Gap Recreation Area.

Amenities: Mack’s Pines offers both 30- and 50-amp service for its 25 RV sites, with water and electric at no extra charge for all sites. Most sites have septic, too, at no charge. The RV park includes bathrooms and showers for those staying here, with the newer park also having campfire sites.

Mulberry Mountain

Address: 4117 Mulberry Mountain Loop, Ozark, AR

Trail system: With access to the Mill Creek Trail System—featuring a 27-mile Blue Loop, and inner shortcuts Easy Loop and Burrel Mountain Loop, totaling nearly 50 miles of trails—Mulberry Mountain has plenty immediately available from the park. In addition, access to incredible views on the Ozark National Forest OHV trail include 20-and 60-foot waterfalls. 

Amenities: RV sites are pull-throughs that offer water and electrical hookups (30 and 50 amps and 110 volts) at each site. Also featured are plenty of trees, as well as four fishing ponds on the property. A large central bathroom and shower house is in the middle of the park, as well as an easy-to-access septic disposal.

Outskirts of Heaven Cabin Rentals and RV Park

Address: 1468 Madison 3260, Kingston, AR 72742

Trail system: Outskirts of Heaven Cabin Rentals and RV Park offers enthusiasts over 3000 acres of riding area in the Wilderness Rider Buffalo Ranch. Other nearby attractions include Boxley Valley and the Buffalo National River. These attractions promise plenty of riding fun and scenic overlooks, such as waterfalls. 

Amenities: The RV Park offers nine RV sites with full hookups for water, sewage and electric (30- and 50-amp) at each site. There are also no size restrictions on RVs at this site. Each site also has a picnic table, fire pit and charcoal grill for camping pleasure. The park also offers two cabins for rental, with full-size appliance kitchens and necessities provided.

California

 

Boulder Creek RV Resort

Address: 2550 US-395, Lone Pine, CA 93545

Trail system: At the base of Mt. Whitney, Boulder Creek RV Resort offers itself as a gateway into the California mountains. The Lone Pine to Independence Loop from the town of Lone Pine offers a 58-mile loop with amazing views and elevation to battle.

Amenities: Boulder Creek offers pull-through, drive-through and back-in sites for RVs. The park is also dog-friendly, so the whole family can come along on your trip. A pool and hot tub are also in the park, as well as a playground. Laundry and shower facilities are available, and propane is also for sale in the park. Free Wi-Fi and cable TV are provided.

Brown’s town

Address: 20 Schober Lane, Bishop, CA 93514

Trail system: Brown’s Town Campground offers access to the ample trails of the High Sierra, as well as lakes. Located in Bishop, adventures here will be sure to have an abundance of scenic overlooks and views worthy of a photo.

Amenities: Brown’s Town offers electricity, hot showers, restrooms and coin-operated laundry for its shaded campground. It is also next to the Bishop golf course—if a day off the trails and on the links is called for. The campground also has a playground and horseshoe pits, as well as a café and country store to keep you fed and stocked up for your adventures.

Calico Campground 

Address: 3660 Ghost Town Road, Yermo, CA 92398

Trail system: There are plenty of different experiences one can find with trails from Calico. From a two-hour trek to Las Vegas or exploring the mountains and their abandoned mines (Maggie Mine is a stable and safe mine for exploration).

Amenities: The state park offers full and partial hookup sites for RVs, as well as dry camping. Pets are not allowed at the park. The campgrounds have access to hot showers, as well as grills, fire pits, and two dumping stations.

Calico Ghost Town KOA

Address: 35250 Outer Highway 15 North, Yermo, CA 92398

Trail system: Also offering access to the nearby Calico area, the KOA has the same trails available. Access to the ghost town itself is still available with a daily fee. 

Amenities: Calico Ghost Town KOA has a maximum length of 72 feet and provides a maximum of 50-amp electrical. A basketball court and seasonal pool are also available, as well as horseshoes. Propane is also for sale at the park, as well as snacks at the snack bar. An archery range is also available at the dog-friendly park.

Glamis North Hot Springs

Address: 10595 Hot Mineral Spa Rd. Niland, CA 92257

Trail system: Technically not part of the Glamis dunes, but it’s only a short ride away. If avoiding the mayhem that is Glamis is more of your speed, there are plenty of alternatives available from the park itself. Enjoy exploring old miner’s cabins, railroad tracks, and canyons, all without the hustle and bustle of the dunes themselves. 

Amenities: Glamis North Hot Springs offers full-service 50-amp sites with fully legal OHV access. The park’s biggest selling point, aside from the amazing trails, is the hot springs, offering two pools and 14 hot tubs of naturally heated, mineral-rich water for relaxation. The gift store sells drinks, and restrooms are available in the park. RZR rentals are also available for any unforeseen issues with your own rig.

Gordon’s Well, Glamis 

Address: 6594 Evan Hewes Hwy, Winterhaven, CA 92283

Trail system: Gordon’s Well is mere minutes from the Glamis dunes. With easy access to one of the most popular OHV playgrounds in America, the park also has a 30-acre kids’ riding area. The park is open from October 1st to May 31st for all of your dune-riding adventures.

Amenities: Both 40- and 80-foot RV spots are available with full hookups provided. Clean men’s and women’s restrooms are in the park, alongside coin-operated laundry. The park itself is dog-friendly, offering a dog park for pets to play off-leash in the shade. Duner’s Diner is also available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a small parts store for some repairs if needed.

Ocotillo RV Resort

Trail system: Enjoy all that the Ocotillo Wells SVRA has to offer—from wide-open desert exploration to climbing hills to search for fossils. There are plenty of landmarks to explore, with destinations like Devil’s Slide presenting a challenging climb up a hill dotted with abandoned mine shafts. 

Amenities: Ocotillo RV Resort offers water, sewer and electrical hookups in pull-through and back-in sites, as well as RV storage. A kids’ training course, pool, jacuzzi and game room provide plenty of entertainment outside of the OHV. The park also has laundry and shower/restroom facilities on-site.

Colorado

 

Junction West RV Resort

Trail system: Grand Junction might not have the name recognition of some other OHV areas on this list, but it certainly has the trails. With 1.6 million acres of public land to explore, and the world’s largest flat-top mountain with 300 lakes to visit, the options here are endless. 

Amenities: Junction West RV Resort offers RV storage, as well as 30- and 50-amp spots, as well as available cable. Laundry, bathrooms and showers, and on-site playground and picnic area provide for plenty of relaxation time. The on-site dog park also means that no one in the family needs to be left out of your expedition.

Taylor Park Trading Post

Trail system: Taylor Park Trading Post offers a wide variety of OHV destinations. From exploring an old wagon trail at Tincup Pass or engaging on a crossing of the Continental Divide at Napoleon Pass, there’s a playground in the Rockies at your disposal from Taylor Park. 

Amenities: Offering full hookups at all sites in the park, as well as 30/50-amp electrical, Taylor Park is also pet-friendly and provides the trading post itself, as well as the Nugget Café and RZR rentals. Propane and laundry are also available at the park. The Park itself is located on the edge of Taylor Reservoir, providing fishing at a close distance as well.

Florida

 

Decker Training Facility

Trail system: Decker Training Facility offers a full-scale training regimen on the property. From a pro-level national track, as well as a woods loop, there are plenty of opportunities to improve your skills on a variety of disciplines. Training sessions and private lessons with nationally ranked professional riders are just one of the many draws to the Decker Training Facility. 

Amenities: The facility offers RV hookups alongside a full gym and shower house. A complimentary laundromat and basketball court are on-site. An on-site mechanic is also available to help keep your training or vacation going smoothly.

Idaho

 

Idaho Dunes RV

Address: 1695 E 500 Rd N, St. Anthony, ID 83445

Trail system: Located right next to the St. Anthony dunes, there is plenty of sand-throwing area to roam from this park. With over 10,000 acres of dunes, including the infamous Choke Cherry Hill, there are plenty of bragging rights available for conquering these steep mountains of sand. 

Amenities: Idaho Dunes RV offers both full hook-up sites, as well as partial hookups with 50-amp and water connections. A general store is also available on-site, as well as showers and toilets. With 69 full hook-up spots available, as well as a playground besides the dunes and a picnic area, Idaho Dunes RV is a great launching point for your dune expedition.

McCall RV Resort

Trail system: With the McCall Mountains at your fingertips to explore, there are an abundance of nearby ATV trails to take on. The most popular trail is the Louie Lake trail, which offers a difficult 5.1-mile trip with rewarding views. Other options in the area include the War Eagle Lookout OHV Loop, offering a 44.2-mile loop to explore abandoned gold dredges and an abandoned gold mine shaft. 

Amenities: Each site at McCall RV Resort offers water and sewer, as well as 20-, 30- or 50-amp service. The park itself offers great views of the area, as well as phone and cable hookups. The central lodge features an indoor pool, spa, and steam room for relaxing after a long day.

Red Rock RV Park

Address:3707 Red Rock Road, Island Park, ID 83429

Trail system: The park recommends the all-day Gravelly Ridge tour, a 140-mile trail that opens on July 4th and offers stunning views of wildlife and wildflowers alike. With many more mapped trails in the area, offering lengths and difficulties for everyone, but all with fantastic destinations, there is riding terrain for everyone here. 

Amenities: Sites offer full-service pull-throughs or water and electric service. The park itself has undergone recent renovations and improvements, such as a new laundry and bathhouse, a new retail store, a new dog park and fire pits, and high-speed Wi-Fi available to guests. The park also has an enclosed pickleball court, as well as ping-pong and foosball tables.

Sawmill Station

Trail system: Offering a world-class ATV/OHV trail system directly from the park, Sawmill Station is remotely located in the Salmon River area of Idaho. Offering plenty of chances to see the wildlife of North America, there is also world-class scenery in abundance. 

Amenities: Sawmill Station offers over 50 RV sites, with full utility hook-ups and complimentary Wi-Fi and cellular service. Fuel and propane are also sold at the park, as well as offering a bistro and country store. RZR rentals are also available from the site itself, offering current model-year RZRs to explore central Idaho.

Maine

Cottonwood Campground

Address: 1140 US Highway 1, Columbia Fall, ME 04623

Trail system: The Central trail offers a 29-mile stretch from Cherryfield to Machias, with several points to stop and take in towns along the way. Attractions include a schoolhouse built in 1868, swimming at Donnell Pond, and downtown Cherryfield’s historic district. The campground itself directly connects to the multi-use Sunrise Trail System, with 87 miles of weaving through Maine’s lush forests and marshes. Cottonwood Campground offers ATV rentals as well, so there is no reason to not join in on the adventure. 

Amenities: Full hookup pull-throughs are available with 20-, 30- and 50-amp service. Smaller back-in sites include 20-, 30- and 50-amp service and water. A bathhouse is also available at the park.

Michigan

Bundy Hill Off-Road

Address: 9960 E Chicago Rd, Jerome, MI 49249

Trail system: Offering over 300 acres on what once was a commercial mining operation, everything from mud to rock crawling to hill-climbs and off-camber obstacles are available in the park. These private trails provide a fantastic off-road playground for your stay, with enough to occupy you for days. 

Amenities: Bundy Hill Off-Road offers primitive campsites, with a two-night minimum reservation required for holiday weekends. Beyond the park, there is a rage room located at the bottom of the hill, as well as food vendors for the majority of the season, and a diner located next to the office. An R/C car course is also on the property for those wanting to have miniature 4WD adventures.

Minnesota

Remer Campground

Address: 209 Main St East, Remer, MN 56672

Trail system: The Remer Motel and Campground offers ample access to both ATV and snowmobile trails, all from within town. There is truly more to ride here than one could tackle in a lifetime, with over 1.6 million acres of land at your disposal. The campground itself connects directly to the Soo Line North Trail, a 114-mile corridor trail that connects to multiple grant-in-aid trails. 

Amenities: Sixteen campsites that offer 20-, 30-, and 50-amp electrical and water hookups are available, as well as an RV dump at the motel. The campsite itself is half a mile from town, offering access to plenty of restaurants and bars with discounts for staying at the park or motel. See ad on page 102.

Missouri

Hooter Holler Off-Road Park

Address: 8101 Thornhill Drive, Mtn. Grove, MO, 65711

Trail system: Hooter Holler puts on frequent events and races, from ATV drags and pulls to hill-climbs. The terrain offers great practice for beginner- and intermediate-level riders alike, with plenty of obstacles to test skills. 

Amenities: They offer camping, with available electrical hookups and water fills. The park is open all year except for rifle season (mid-November), and open to the public from Monday through Friday and all days of the week for members.

Southern Missouri Off-Road Ranch

Address: 5722 State Hwy K, Seymour, MO

Trail system: Explore the Missouri Ozarks from Southern Missouri Off-Road Ranch. With more than 940 acres of central U.S. landscape to explore, there are plenty of challenges and beautiful, rewarding vistas to take in. 

Amenities: Thirty- and 50-amp sites are available, as well as full hookups. The season for the park is from the first weekend of March through the last weekend of November. An ATM is available at the ranch, as well as the SMORR Café, which is open on select weekends. The park also provides a bathhouse and pavilion, as well as a playground for guests.

St. Joe State Park

Address: 2800 Pimville Road, Park Hills, MO

Trail system: Offering direct trail access from campsites, St. Joe State Park has 54 miles of riding available on the Donnelly-LaMear trailhead. With trail surfaces ranging from tailings to wooded trails, there is plenty to explore from your campsite. 

Amenities: ORV camping is available in Campground 1, though reservations are highly recommended in advance due to high demand. Nevada

Walker River RV

Trail system: While OHV riding is not allowed inside the resort, the park is surrounded by thousands of Nevada BLM acreage. With sites from the 1800’s history of Nevada to explore, there are many fascinating landmarks to find. The ghost town of Pine Grove is accessible by OHV from Walker River RV and offers a glimpse into the past.

Amenities: Full hookups with 15-, 30- and 50-amp service are available, as well as pull-through and back-in sites. Wi-Fi is available in the park, albeit with intermittent service. The resort’s bathhouse is closed, but bathrooms are dispersed on the resort’s property. A swimming pool and hot tub are available from May 15th through September 15th as well.

Busco Beach

Trail system: Busco Beach offers mud pits, a drag strip, an ATV pond, and a youth motocross track on the property. With plenty of deep-water crossings, mud, hill-climbs and wooded terrain, there’s a great mix of trails to ride here.

Jet skis and fishing are also available on the lake, and a snack shop is on the property to fulfill any cravings you have. Box Car Hill

Trail system: Home of events like UTV Takeover, Sand Fest and Sand Jam, the dunes at Box Car Hill are well known. Open outside of those events, however, Box Car Hill allows you to take on the same terrain in a more intimate and less hectic environment all from the facilities on the property.

Horsfall

Trail system: At Coos Bay, more Oregon dunes are accessible from the Horsfall Campground. With a whole host of OHV trails accessible to the northwest of the campground, as well as Horsfall Beach to the west.

Oregon Dunes KOA

Trail system: Also offering access to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, this KOA provides a home base two miles away by ATV through the dunes to get to the beach. Open to 40 miles of dune riding and sand roads, there is no shortage of OHV action here.

Amenities: The Oregon Dunes KOA offers a maximum of 50-amp service to RVs. Also included is free Wi-Fi, as well as propane and firewood available for purchase. Cable TV is also available at this park, as well as RV sites with a patio. Steve’s ATV has rentals right next door. See ad on Page 75.

Ryle Ranch

Address: Milepost 227 on U.S. Highway 101 just west of Hauser, OR

Trail system: With more access to Coos Bay, ATV riding from your camp is possible. Butterfield Lake is also nearby, offering a place to fish for bass, crappie, perch and trout. 

Amenities: This camp offers 114 reservable sites with water and electrical hookups. There are also two separate restrooms and shower buildings, but no dump station inside the park. The closest dump station is five miles away. Reservations require a 24-hour notice and a two-night minimum stay year round, and can be made up to 270 days before your trip.

Umpqua Dunes RV

Trail system: Also providing access to the massive Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, Umpqua Dunes RV Park offers yet more access to some of the largest dunes in the recreation area. The beach in this area is closed to OHV riding, but the dunes are still available.

Woahink Lake RV

Trail system: Yet another site with direct ATV access to the massive Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Just across the highway is also Woahnik Lake, which offers even more area to explore in the 40-mile West Coast destination.

Mountain Ridge ATV Park

Trail system: Mountain Ridge ATV Park has direct access to over 140 miles of trails for riding. Forty miles of singletrack are also available, and all trails are mapped out and rated for difficulty, with some being two-way trails and others being single direction. Most trails are also able to be ridden on a UTV; however, some are too narrow.

Brimstone

Trail system: Brimstone provides access to over 300 miles of OHV trails and roads with multiple points of interest to explore in the Appalachian Mountains. Trails are marked with difficulty for riders of differing skill levels, with the easiest being on old logging or gravel roads, and the hardest providing more than enough of a challenge for more experienced riders.

Trail system: Windrock is a destination park well known for a reason. With over 300 miles of trail, there is something for every skill level. Hidden Falls Adventure Park

Trail system: Hidden Falls Adventure Park offers more than 250 miles of trail on its more than 3000-acre property for you to explore. Trails are labeled, and bushwhacking/trailblazing is forbidden. Difficulty ranges from easy to extreme, ensuring something for everybody.

Sabine ATV Park

Coral Pink Sand Dunes

Trail system: This state park features beautiful sand dunes to ride on that are open year round. With 1200 acres of riding room on the dunes themselves, as well as hundreds of miles of trails on the adjacent BLM land, there is plenty of ways to experience the beautiful landscape of this park. 

Amenities: The state park has 15 standard RV sites and 12 partial hookup sites, as well as several picnic areas and restrooms. It’s highly recommended to make reservations in advance of your trip, as the park is popular and can fill up quickly, especially on holiday weekends.

Trail system: Fillmore KOA offers direct access to the gargantuan Paiute trail. Featuring a 275-mile loop with over 1000 miles of marked side trails, there is more riding here than one could accomplish in a lifetime. Weaving around a significant part of the state, the trails range from access roads to more technical and difficult sections. 

Amenities: Fillmore KOA features a hot tub, sauna and seasonal pool, as well as Wi-Fi and cable TV. RV sites feature partial and full hookups, with up to 50-amp service and direct access to the trails. The whole campsite has mature grass and trees providing plenty of shade for your stay. Propane and firewood are available for purchase as well.

Ruby’s Inn

Trail system: While motorized vehicles aren’t allowed into Bryce Canyon National Park, there are still plenty of ways to ride the surrounding national forest. There are more than 76 miles of trail surrounding the Park, with access roads also available for use by ATVs and UTVs. Many of these trails offer scenic views of the surrounding area, and into Bryce Canyon and its famous rock formations. 

Amenities: Ruby’s Inn offers 250 campsites with electricity and water, as well as full hookups. There is also a large pull-through area in the park to help make arrivals and departures a breeze. All guests can expect to benefit from hot showers, restrooms, a pool and hot tub, fire pits, a laundromat, dumping stations, and a restaurant and general store in the area.

Sand Hollow State Park

Trail system: Sand Hollow is an incredibly popular OHV area for a reason. With over 15,000 acres of riding area, there is always something to do in the reddish-orange sand and sandstone. The reservoir and surrounding area of St. George provide for amazing views from the tops of many of the trails in Sand Hollow, making it an ideal riding destination.

Amenities: The state park offers a variety of different sites, with different amenities, ranging from full hookups to primitive campgrounds. The park also has a private concession area that offers OHV tours and watercraft rentals.

South 40 RV

Trail system: Another park with direct access to the Paiute Trail System from Marysvale. Destinations on this trail system can include Marysvale Falls, Manning Meadows or the popular Bullion Canyon with incredible views and history. Some trails on the system are width restricted to 50 inches, so it’s best to research and plan ahead of your trip.

Amenities: All campground sites have cellular service and free Wi-Fi, and the camp offers an R/C track as well. There are two dog parks on the property, as well as laundry facilities and restrooms with showers. Every site itself offers full hook-ups with 20-, 30- and 50-amp electrical, and a picnic table.

Willow Wind RV Park

Drummond Lake Campground
