A DIRT WHEELS FAN WRITES: “I have a Honda 2014 TRX420 and the power steering light keeps coming on then off then on all the time. I have read the code from the DTC, which was error 18-03 EPS ECU Internal circuit power relay stuck on, and have erased the DTC error successfully as per the instructions in the manual. But the error 18-03 keeps returning. Where can I find this relay so I can test it. My Dealer’s mechanic doesn’t know where it is but suspects it can’t be replaced.” – Darrell Jobson, Carlsbad, CA
OUR PRO ANSWER: Your Dealer’s mechanic can’t find it because it is an electronic relay located inside the ECU and requires an ECU replacement to replace it! Look at Section #24-21 for the 18-03 code troubleshooting. ECU replacement is at Section #24-32.
