MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (October 13, 2023) – In honor of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Round 13 of the 2023 Progressive Grand National Cross Country Series presented by Specialized, an AMA National Championship, (GNCC Racing) will once again “GO PINK” for the 29th Annual Yamaha Racing Ironman GNCC. Taking place October 20-22 in Crawfordsville, Indiana, the season finale has become more than just a race, as record-breaking numbers are expected to attend what has become the largest fall festival in Montgomery County.

Ironman’s “pink race” is to raise awareness and fund locally for breast cancer care and research, while bringing the GNCC Racing Community together for a cause that is bigger than racing. Last year the GNCC Racing Nation donated $10,000, and once again donations will benefit the Montgomery Country Community Foundation (MCCF), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free mammogram examinations across the Crawfordsville and Montgomery County region.

GNCC Racing will relax number-plate background color codes for the race and encourages riders to run pink backgrounds, available via HBD MotoGrafx. To continue the fundraising efforts, a pink front number plate background will result in a $5 donation. A full set of front and side backgrounds will include a $10 donation. In addition, each other will include one free mini plate. Email [email protected] or call (386) 308-2225 to order your backgrounds today and use code “Pink23” for special pricing.

HBD MotoGrafx will also be providing exclusive GNCC Breast Cancer Awareness race stickers for a minimum $1 donation. Stickers will be available at rider registration throughout the weekend.

Yamaha Motor Corp. will continue to donate $50 for every Yamaha class win at Ironman and $50 for every National Championship earned by Yamaha riders. They will also be doing a beanie giveaway, along with additional special giveaways. Their hospitality tent will offer hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn and Halloween candy. Yamaha will be selling wristbands ($10 each) to the first 200 Yamaha bLU cRU members that come to see them on Friday starting at 2 p.m. through Saturday at 4 p.m. Those wristbands will allow them to access a tented concert viewing area and have drinks/snacks provided, while also being entered into some different raffle items.

Outside of the Ironman GNCC, Yamaha is working on a special activation with All Kids Bikes and donating some Stryder bikes to the local elementary school (kindergarten students).

This year’s Ironman GNCC will once again follow a modified race schedule, along with adjusted race times. One significant change, due to the high number of entries in the Bike Amateur Race, is that there will continue to be two separate Bike Amateur races on Sunday morning.

Another important change to the weekend’s race schedule is that the Youth Bike race will be held on Saturday afternoon at 4 pm to further accommodate the two separate bike amateur races.

Ironman’s weekend race schedule will follow the format below:

Friday, October 20

4 pm – eMTB Race

Saturday, October 21

8 am – ATV Youth Race
8:30 am – Bike Micro Race (separate track)
