HISUN STRIKE 1000 EPS/STRIKE CREW EPS

The sport-oriented Strike 1000 comes in a two- and four-person version. Both models feature electric power steering, a 4500-pound winch, a full roof, a two-piece windshield, turn signals, and mirrors. Helping smooth out the ride is adjustable shocks, while a front-locking differential helps cross tricky spots on the trail.

HISUN STRIKE 250/STRIKE 550

The Strike 250 is a compact, youth-oriented 2WD model, while the 550 fits right into the mid-size UTV segment. The 250 has a 2500-pound winch, roof, two-piece windshield, turn signals, and doors. The bigger 550 has the same, plus a 3500-pound winch. Neither model offer EPS.

Hisun’s Sectors are work-oriented vehicles, including the Sector 1000 and 1000 Crew. They share a locking front differential, 4WD, 4500-pound winch, electronic power steering, mirrors, turn signals, a roof, and a two-piece windshield. The cargo bed is also power-assisted.

HISUN SECTOR 550 EPS/750 EPS/750 CREW EPS

These are three more utility/work models in Hisun’s line. Aside from engine size, the 550 and 750 offer many of the same features including a 3500-pound winch, doors, turn signals, two-piece windshield, roof, and EPS. The Crew version has room for four riders.

HONDA TALON 1000X/1000R/1000X FOX LIVE VALVE/1000R FOX LIVE VALVE

Honda’s Talon 1000X and Talon 1000 get Fox Live Valve shock technology on select models. The system adjusts damping on each shock independently and automatically up to 200 times a second. The trail-oriented X and dune/desert/big bump-oriented R return with Honda’s 6-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission (manual or fully automatic), i4WD, paddle shifting, and EPS.

HONDA 1000X-4/1000-4 FOX LIVE-VALVE

The four-seat 1000X-4 and Fox Live Valve both offer the same stellar features as the two-seat Talon 1000X. The auto- or manual-shift DCT 6-speed transmissions, power steering, and i4WD are standard fare on these models, as are the steering-column-mounted paddle shifters, hill-start assist, and a skid plate.

In the sport/rec segment, the Pioneer 1000 is going strong. All three versions have a fully automatic, 6-speed dual-clutch transmission with reverse, steering column-mounted paddle shifters and standard; sport; and manual driving modes. The Deluxe adds LED headlights and aluminum wheels, while the LE adds i4WD, Fox QS3 shocks, hill-start assists an aluminum skid plate, and A-arm protection.

You can pretty much cut-and-paste the features from the Pioneer 1000 here for the five-seat models. Honda’s QuickFlip seating in the bed of the vehicle lets you quickly shift from a bed to passenger seating for one or two additional passengers in the (Rear).

HONDA PIONEER 700/DELUXE

The mid-size Pioneer 700 two-seater comes with a three-speed automatic transmission (three forward gears and reverse), as well as 2WD/4WD/4WD with diff-lock options. The Deluxe has paddle shifters for manual shifting, and you can easily switch from automatic mode to manual. The Deluxe model also features EPS.

Much like the five-passenger Pioneer 1000, the 700-4 has QuickFlip that allows you to change the bed configuration to allow for one or two (Rear) passengers. If you still want some cargo capacity, just flip up one seat in the bed. Again, the Deluxe model comes with EPS, an AT/MT mode, paddle shifters, and aluminum wheels.

HONDA PIONEER 520

All-new for 2021, the Pioneer 520 has a 43cc-larger engine compared to the Pioneer 500 and a dump bed. The engine is the same as the 2021 Rubicon ATV. Its 50-inch width means it fits into a full-size pickup for transport, and it has an automatic/manual transmission that can be changed on the fly.

With its compact 50-inch width, the Pioneer 500 can fit into a full-size truck bed, making getting to your favorite riding area very easy. It offers an automatic transmission that does the work for you, or you can shift yourself with the steering-column-mounted paddle shifters. You can shift from automatic to manual on the fly.

Arkansas-based Intimidator builds its vehicles in-house. The Classic is available with a 23-horsepower Kohler gas engine, 24-horsepower Kohler diesel engine, or 48-volt electric engine. Each has a three-passenger bench seat, front bumper/brush guard, and steel skid plate. Upgrade to the XD4 package, and you’ll get aluminum wheels and an electric bed dump.

JOHN DEERE XUV 835E/XUV 835M/XUV 835M WITH CAB/XUV 835M WITH HVAC

These four XUV models are John Deere’s full-size, three-passenger vehicles with 54 horsepower. The 835E doesn’t have EPS, but the other three models do. The Cab version features a factory-installed cab with roll-up windows and a fully opening front windshield. The HVAC model offers a cab with heat and air conditioning.

There are two full-size four-passenger side-by-sides from John Deere, one (825M) with a 54-horsepower gas-powered engine and the other (855M) with a 22.8-horsepower diesel engine. Both feature EPS and a cargo box that easily converts into a flatbed.

The XUV560E is the base model in John Deere’s mid-sized utility line. It is powered by a 16-horsepower, air-cooled engine, while the 590E and 590M come with a liquid-cooled, 32-horsepower engine. The 590M is the only version that comes with EPS, but all three have 4WD with a limited-slip front differential and locking (Rear) differential.

JOHN DEERE XUV560E S4/590E S4/590M S4

The mid-size four-passenger XUVs mirror John Deere’s two-seat models in engine offerings and other features. The 560E is air-cooled, while the other two are liquid-cooled and have the same horsepower outputs. A nice feature on these three models is a flip-down (Rear) seat that allows you to carry more cargo if desired.
