The Forge 500 and 700 have fallen off of Hisun’s lineup, leaving the capable 4×4 Forge 400i. The engine in this affordable rig is a 393cc four-stroke that is paired to a CV-style transmission. ARGO XR 500

This year Argo is still offering their first lineup of quads from 2018, which includes their well-equipped XR 500. You can upgrade to the winch and electronic power steering equipped version. The last of the XR 500 line is the LE model that has heavy-duty bumpers and rear 2-inch hitch receiver and 14-inch cast-aluminum wheels wrapped with Innova 26-inch-tall tires. The LE version comes with a handlebar-mounted headlight too.

CAN-AM OUTLANDER 570/450

The 2019 Can-Am Outlander 450 and 570 remain the company’s most affordable 4×4 machines. Each engine size can be purchased in their Dynamic Power Steering version as well. We didn’t see any upgrades to the suspension-like larger-bore Outlanders. These quads have a smaller and more nimble-feeling width, with controllable engines for tight trails and newer riders. They are made to tackle jobs around the ranch too.

HONDA FOURTRAX RANCHER 4X4

Yamaha’s Kodiak 450 is a great mid-sized 4×4 that is perfect for tight terrain. It has a compact frame and nimble handling, yet it has a reasonable amount of leg and control room for larger riders. An EFI, 421cc powerplant gets the ATV moving, and you can also upgrade to EPS. They have a Special Edition version of this machine for 2019.
